Horry County Council votes to move forward with new satellite office in Myrtle Beach
Horry County Council voted to move ahead with a plan for a new satellite office in or near Myrtle Beach to replace its oldest county complex currently on 21st Avenue North in Myrtle Beach.
Council allocated $1 million in its Capital Improvement Plan to build the satellite office, citing the county has outgrown the existing buildings on 21st Avenue North that house the health department, magistrate’s offices, and more.
“At this time, we do not have a good estimate of what the cost will be for that facility,” said Anne Wright, the county’s assistant administrator for finance.
