Judge grants bond for pair charged in Heather Elvis disappearance case

Bond was approved for a Myrtle Beach couple charged with murder and kidnapping in the disappearance of Heather Elvis, a Circuit Court Judge ruled Friday in a Charleston County courtroom.

Judge R. Markley Dennis set bond at $100,000 each for Tammy Moorer and Sidney Moorer, who were charged last year with murder and kidnapping in Heather Elvis’ disappearance.

Restrictions on the bond include GPS monitoring and the Moorers are to have no contact, direct or indirect, with the Elvis family. The Moorers are not permitted to be within a five-mile radius of the Elvis family home.

Tammy Moorer and Sidney Moorer each appeared Friday before Dennis who approved their requests for bond. It was the second bond request for 39-year-old Sidney Moorer and the third request for 42-year-old Tammy Moorer.
