More rain ahead as Tropical Storm Andrea persists
Tropical Storm Andrea has moved further inland and persists with 45 mph winds and much, much rain.
In the Charleston area the storm dropped nearly 2.5 inches of rain, 2 inches in Beaufort, and 1.5 inches in Myrtle Beach. Forecasts indicate that the Lowcountry stands likely to receive that much rain again, or more, throughout the day Friday and likely well into Saturday.
On the positive side, the chances for tornadoes appear to be falling but officials warn there is still a small risk in Berkeley and Charleston counties.
