More finding work in South Carolina
South Carolina’s unemployment rate fell to 5.5% in March, down 0.2% from February — officials are saying the new employment levels is an all-time high for the Palmetto State.
The last time the Palmetto State’s rate was at this level was in March 2008. In all, from February to March 2014, the number of unemployed persons declined by 5,077, to a level of 119,058 unemployed while the estimated number of employed persons rose to 2,046,002, up 6,560 since February.
It's the 8th consecutive monthly increase and marks a state historic employment high.
