Chase After a Cure, a local nonprofit that raises money for pediatric cancer research at the Medical University of South Carolina, has moved into office space donated by Summerville business Cornerstone Wealth and Tax Advisory Group. The Chase After a Cure office is located at 89 B Old Trolley Road, Suite 201, in Summerville.
Michael Haskett, owner of Cornerstone Wealth and Tax Advisory Group, has become a staunch supporter of Chase After a Cure. The company was the presenting sponsor for the 2013 Chase After a Cure Gala in February. The company had two offices to spare and has donated them to Chase After a Cure along with office furniture and use of the company’s conference rooms.
“When I found out Chase After a Cure needed office space and we had it in excess, it wasn’t even a question,” said Michael Haskett, CEO of Cornerstore Wealth and Tax Advisory Group. “This was a way we could help and we are so glad we had the means to do so. I hope this helps Chase After a Cure to further expand and help even more children.”
“We are incredibly grateful to Michael Haskett and Cornerstone Wealth and Tax Advisory Group for the use of these offices,” said Whitney Ringler, president and founder of Chase After a Cure. “It’s nice to move from my living room to a more professional setting but without having to divert dollars from cancer research to pay for rent. This donation means we can continue to put the money we raise toward our mission of supporting families and funding research for pediatric cancer.”
Chase After a Cure will be open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Those interested in learning more about the organization and how to get involved are welcome to stop by. For more information, call 843-270-2954 or visit www.chaseafteracure.com.
