Charleston architecture review OKs 8-story hotel for old library site, and one more
After several years of debate, Charleston's Board of Architectural Review approved a plan for an 8-story hotel near Marion Square at the old Charleston library, and another hotel at 239 Meeting Street.

Plans for new downtown hotel go before review board tomorrow
The Post and Courier reports that plans for a new 41-room, 27,000-square-foot hotel called The Spectator are in the works for downtown Charleston.
The Spectator would be located at 71 State Street.
