Charges dropped in surfer's stabbing death

Charges have been dropped against Charles Richard Dobson Jr. for the stabbing death of local surfer Craig Massey.

The Post and Courier quotes Ninth Circuit Solicitor Scarlett Wilson:

The defendant, Mr. Dobson, was at home minding his own business when the victim came in and began assaulting him and others in the house. Even witnesses who are friendly and sympathetic to (Massey), even in their stories he was the aggressor.

There’s a couple of stories out there about why the charges were dropped and what the community’s reaction has been, but The Post and Courier’s is the best.
