The cover features Stan Abrahamson's photograph "Stony Preserve".
The official 2012 Beaufort County Calendar is now on sale, with 13 photos pulled from more than 200 entries.
The calendars cost $15, and proceeds will go towards the Beaufort County Rural and Critical Land Preservation Program which helps protect animal habitats, water quality, and the environment.
(Bluffton Today has a report with the names of the featured photographers.)
You can buy one at many locations around town, in part: Beaufort County Government Building in Beaufort, Beaufort County Treasurer's Offices, Bluffton & Hilton Head Island County Buildings, Beaufort Book Store, Beaufort & Hilton Head Chamber Visitor Centers, Coastal Discovery Museum, Barnes and Noble, Maye River Gallery, or online.
Truth time. As much as I like nice photos and supporting good causes, I have to ask: Who uses paper calendars anymore?
