A video chat with Deanna Bowdish about her work and Beaufort's art scene
The Island Packet dropped by The Gallery on Bay Street in downtown Beaufort and journeyed upstairs to the studio of artist and gallery owner Deanna Bowdish.
There staff photographer Sarah Welliver settled in for a chat and video session with Bowdish about here abstract art and what it means to her.
Go on and take a watch of the video over here, it'll give you a nice glimpse into Beaufort's art community.

Oh, and the piece mentions that Bowdish's work will be one of 13 artists' to be featured during the "Different Strokes" exhibit at the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina on Hilton Head. There's an opening reception for that on Friday, September 10, from 5 to 7 p.m. Then a coffee greeting on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. with the artists. After that the work will stay on display through September 24. 14 Shelter Cove Lane in the Walter Greer Gallery.
