Hayman earns CPP certification

Amanda Hayman an operations and program manager with the Technical College of the Lowcountry’s Continuing Education and Workforce Development division has received certification as a Certified Program Planner (CPP).

Professional education and training is relevant to professionals associated with lifelong learning programs such as continuing education in colleges and universities; community education in public schools; recreation in parks and recreation departments; meetings, conferences and seminars for associations; museum education in museums; continuing education and community education in hospitals, and continuing professional education in professional schools and colleges within universities. The field of lifelong learning programming has changed significantly in the last few years.  There is increased competition and heightened expectations for financial performance. At the same time there has been tremendous growth in the knowledge and sophistication of management, marketing and programming techniques. This certification acknowledges a standard of achievement and excellence in the knowledge of lifelong learning programming.

The CPP certification is a comprehensive professional development series designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of individuals who work developing continuing education programs, hire instructors, work with the media, and conduct program evaluation and assessment. “The Continuing Education division at TCL has already benefited from Amanda’s certification as she has successfully designed a new Veterinary Assistant Certificate at the college,” says Nancy H. Weber, Vice President for Continuing Education and Institutional Advancement.
