The Penn Center was the victim of over $100,000 in damage.
The Penn Center, a historical site and one of the oldest schools created for freed slaves, discovered the damage on Monday morning. The damage was caused to air conditioning systems at a construction project.
Vandalism and theft of air conditioning units has increased in the past years as the cost of metal has risen.
Previously, air conditioners were stolen from a Habitat for Humanity build site located near the Penn Center.
