St. Helena Island native Candice Glover continued her performances on American Idol on Wednesday night, singing two songs, “Straight Up” by Paula Abdul and “When you Believe” by Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston.

The video performance of "When you Believe" is viewable up top, and it earned very high marks, with judge Nicki Minaj saying, "That is how you do a Mariah Carey/Whitney Houston song."

Glover's "Straight Up" rendition was also well received; see the video of that performance below.

At this point Glover seems like a lock in for advancement to the top four. You can watch tonight's results show, April 11, from 8 to 9. The final show is slated for May 16.
