On Saturday, October 22, the "Amateur Dog Show" is coming to downtown Port Royal from 1 to 3 p.m.

The event will benefit the Beaufort County Animal Shelter.

Contestant pets will compete in three categories (cutest pet, best trick, best dressed) for a $5 registration fee. They'll also be accepting donations of pet food, litter, newspapers, blankets, and towels.

Hot dogs and a 50/50 raffle will also be offered.
