Herban Marketplace, a "all-organic and all-natural gourmet grocery store", is hosting their Grand Opening celebration today, January 20, from 5:30 to 7 p.m., complete with a ribbon cutting ceremony and a $100 gift certificate.

With the soft-opening a little over a month ago, owner Greta Lynne has been working to show off the small grocery store of all things local, organic, and healthy.

While her opening took a bit longer than expected, it was definitely worth the wait. 

Herban Marketplace also caters to those with food allergies and sensitivities, offering a wide selection of gluten- and dairy-free products.

Though not large, Lynne brings several features to her market that no other Beaufort grocery stores offer. Customers can pick up a fresh smoothie at the smoothie bar, look up answers to their health questions at the health kiosk, and attend product and cooking demonstrations.

Additionally, she carries other product lines that grocery chains carry – personal care items, baby food and care merchandise, pet foods, vitamins and supplements, fresh and frozen foods, and more.

Stop by Herban Marketplace to see all Lynne and her staff to offer tomorrow at the Grand Opening at 1211 Newcastle Street. If you can’t make it then, the store hours are Monday-Saturday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Sunday 12-4 p.m.
