This June will mark the first of what organizers hope will be a new annual festival in Beaufort: the International New Plays Festival of the Lowcountry
It's stated to be "a celebration of innovative and original works -- and the performances and audiences that bring them to life. The Festival is a Lowcountry event with global scope. We invite writers the world over to submit new dramatic works in English."
The festival will run from Friday, June 17, to Sunday, June 19, with a total of 14 performances at the University of South Carolina Beaufort's Center for the Arts. Read the billing over here.
Tickets to each night are $10, or $25 for all three nights. Buy tickets in advance by calling (843) 521-4145, or buy them at the door.
