Celebrate the season at Habersham's Harvest Festival (update: video)

Update October 23, 7:30 p.m.:

Well the festival was a good time and there's a video we did up top, and there's also a time lapse on on our Facebook page. Enjoy and see you there in 2011!

Update October 23:

The festival is getting under way and we've set up. We'll be posting photos throughout the day on our Facebook page.

And say hello through the webcam up top.

First reporting:

Making it a tradition, Habersham is putting on its second annual  Harvest Festival this Saturday, October 23, with some great food, art, music and games.

The event starts at noon with arts & crafts, storytelling, hayrides, adult
sports, dog agility and mazes, along with various children's activities and continues throughout the day with food from Habersham restaurants Bistro Patois,
Maggie's Pub and Piace Pizza.

At 3 the BBQ Bros! will start to play until the event winds down at 6 p.m., but the restaurants will continue to carry the spirit through the evening.

If it sounds like a good time, that's just what the organizers are hoping you will get: A fun festival and maybe some motivation to come back not only to next year's festival but sooner, say to one of their Friday farmers market events.

"We are building off of last year's inaugural event and the
Marketplace merchants, along with the hand-picked local and regional
vendors to provide a distinctive environment for families to enjoy,"
said Leslie Pickel, Chair of Habersham Merchants Council.

Don't know where Habersham is or how to get there? Here's a handy Google map.

Oh, and we'd be remiss to not mention that we're media sponsors of this year's event and will be set up there -- drop by and say hi, learn more about us, and say hello to our live broadcast.
