Another beer festival comes to Bluffton: Firkinstock

There are few things finer than casks of beer.

Here at TheDigitel we love us some beer — and as much as it pains us to right about awesome events not in Beaufort, we can't not spread the word that some awesome craft brews are being served up 20 minutes away.

Meet Frikinstock.

(If you're wondering what the heck that name is, it's a quarter-size barrel — aka, a cask — in which many a tasty smaller batch beer comes.)

The event is Saturday, March 31, from noon to 5 at Buckwalter Place. Tasting tickets are $40, designated driver tickets are $10, food is extra. The event raises money for the Waddell Mariculture Center.

Presenting their brews are regional and national craft brewers from the Charleston pros of Coast, Westbrook, and Holy City Brewing, to regionals like Thomas Creek, Terrapin, and Highland, to more nationally renowned brewers like Avery, Victory, Stone, Bell's, Oskar Blues, RJ Rockers, and Rogue.

Buy tickets and learn more on their website (ticket link in the bottom right).

So, phone up your Bluffton friends and tell them to clear off their couch and that you'll need a ride from the festival.
