Whether it’s getting to know their customers, volunteering with the Junior Service League, or serving on Habersham Marketplace’s Merchant Council Board, Jason and Kelley Blackston hashas become increasingly familiar with the talent that exists here in Beaufort.

And the owners of BeaufortDog are excited to bring Beaufort’s Got Talent to Habersham Marketplace’s First Friday event tonight, May 6, from 6-8 p.m.

Choosing the Marketplace venue seemed like a natural choice for the Blackstons, “We have so many hidden gems in this town that deserve to be showcased. This event allows people to discover this talent while discovering the Habersham Marketplace at the same time,” Jason explains.

The show will feature some dozen acts, with a variety of ages — including a four-year-old dance group — and talents being featured. Among the performers will be the Beaufort Junior Orchestra. In addition to participating in the contest, groups from Studio B Dance Centre will provide pre-show entertainment.

First, second, and third place prizes – provided by Habersham Marketplace merchants – will be awarded, and the winner will also land a performance slot at the Third Annual Habersham Harvest Festival. For more information, contact Jason Blackston at (843) 379-9617.
