You care about the race, we care about the mint juleps: A tasty guide

The 2011 Kentucky Derby coverage is well underway, but there's still time to get your libations on with a tasty mint julep.
Sure, recipes abound online and you could well order one at many an establishment, but over at the Charleston City Paper, Robert Moss has put together a swell gamut of recipes along with a bit of history on the different variations.
Plus, if you're feeling rather lazy, he tips you off to a solid concoction over at The Gin Joint.
Take a gander at Moss' write-up here.
As for local celebrations, the only I've heard of is at the Moss Creek Clubhouse on Hilton Head — it's $75 with dinner, complementary beverages, and other goodies; details here.
