Update December 9: Indeed, Rick Perry came through Beaufort County yesterday.

And if you missed him, we'll doubt you'll get much out of the coverage of what he did — it was your pretty standard campaigning: A stop and speaking event for Sun City residents (complete with a gaff about the "wars in Iran and Afghanistan") and some campaigning in downtown Beaufort.

The Island Packet has a write-up and the Beaufort chamber has a photo of Perry looking rather possessed at Blackstone's.

First reporting: Presidential candidate Texas Gov. Rick Perry will be at Blackstone's Cafe today, December 8, in Beaufort at 12:45 p.m. until about 1:30.

Before then he will have been meeting with local business owners.

Blackstone's is at 205 Scott Street in downtown.
