These blueberries have seen warmer days.

Better bundle up and cover your delicate outdoor plants, the National Weather Service is warning that temperatures will reach near freezing in the Beaufort area on the morning of Sunday, November 25.

"Cold high pressure will build into the region Saturday night. The combination of clear skies and light winds will allow
temperatures to drop below freezing away from the coast for several hours Sunday morning", the Service writes. "In addition scattered to widespread frost is likely."

The forecast for Sunday calls for a low of 35 in downtown, sunny with a high of 60, and a low on Monday of 37.

Below is a graphical forecast of temperatures at 4 a.m. Sunday.

On the upside, at least the start of the season also brings free parking in downtown Beaufort.
