Beaufort restaurants kicking off an inaugural Culinary Month (reminder)

Plums
The dining room at Plums will soon fill with diners looking to try out Beaufort's restaurants at great prices.

As Restaurant Week South Carolina has come upon us, Beaufort is looking to get in on the action with a slightly different spin: Culinary Month put on by Main Street Beaufort

(Update January 22: Just a little reminder that the events are ongoing, and are on for tonight.)

The month's events span Fridays and Saturdays on January 14, 15, 21, 22, 28, 29, and February 4 and 5 at five downtown restaurants. All will offer a price fixed (aka prix fixe) menu of three courses for $25 that is available with reservations only from 6 to 10 p.m.

And it sounds like the restaurant community is pretty excited. "We are thrilled to be a part of this effort," said Plums Inc. Owner Lantz Price. " What a great way to celebrate the cuisine — and the talent — of our area."
