Fun Holiday Events at ARTworks in Beaufort

Do you miss the wonder and excitement of holidays past? Let ARTworks take you back to those times with 3 nostalgic shows -any one of which will bring back the child in you. From November 28th through December 6th, visit Victorian England with an adaptation of Dickens' "A Christmas Carol". This classic has been updated to include Monty Python style humor and musical interludes. Then on December 7th, let beloved, local male jazz vocalist Terry Herron and female vocalist Penney Lynn Smith (of The Sweetgrass Angels) take you on a sleigh ride through popular holiday music of the 40s, 50s & 60s. This show includes great tunes like "Baby It's Cold Outside', 'White Christmas", "Christmas in Dixie', and more. Joining Terry and Penney onstage will aslo be gospel soloist, Scott Gibbs. The final show that ARTworks is presenting will be "Celtic Christmas" on Friday, December 12th. This is an annual favorite, performed by Carroll Brown and Harry O'Donoghue. The show is a mix of both traditional and modern Irish music and stories. The duo, accompanied by Michael Murray, will transport you to the Emerald Isle. If you love Riverdance and Celtic Women, this show is definately for you!
