With the sun setting behind them over Broad Creek, local bands will perform to crowds at Shelter Cove Harbour this fall as part of the popular Music on the Harbour series. Also held last spring and fall, the event returns to Shelter Cove Harbour for the first four Thursdays in October. 

From 6-9 p.m. on Oct. 3, 10, 17 and 24, bands will perform at the Shelter Cove stage where concertgoers also gather to dance. New this season is the addition of Taste on the Harbour, where select Shelter Cove restaurants will offer small plates of food at Neptune Statue during the event. Restaurants will also offer drink specials as part of the event, including $3 beers, $4 wines and $5 cocktails. 

The fall schedule for Music on the Harbour, which runs from 6-9 p.m., is:

• ·         October 17 – The Headliners
• ·         October 24 - Target Band
