A new agreements might allow for interim improvements to Port of Port Royal land

Thanks to the most recent development attempts falling through, the Town of Port Royal and the S.C. State Ports Authority are working on a new five-year property agreement for the Port of Port Royal property, and it's hopped that the new plan will allow for some interim improvements to the town in form of a promenade for the Sands Beach and the removal of an old dry stack.

The Island Packet's Erin Moody notes that the agreement is coming up for discussion on Wednesday, January 2, and January 9.
