Hotel proposed for downtown Beaufort's Port Republic Street
There have been many proposals for the long vacant old Piggly Wiggly on Port Republic Street, the latest calls for an 80-room hotel, but it's not clear if or how much of the existing building would remain.
Also worth noting that the hotel would join the Beaufort Inn and City Loft Hotel, all on Port Republic Street.
