The Arsenal in Beaufort, now the chamber visitor's center

The Miami Herald's weekend travel section had a nice little piece about Beaufort this past weekend called "Discovering a tidal treasure: South Carolina's Beaufort River."

The piece includes a nice narrative of someone getting out on the water for the first time.

It also names several local businesses, including City Loft Hotel, 11th Street Dockside, Palm and Moon Bagel, and Southern Sweets.
