Case dismissed in Ridgeland traffic camera saga
Flickr user woodleywonderworks
The long debate iTraffic camera's that issued speeding tickets on Ridgeland's domain of I-95 largely ended when the Legislature banned the traffic cameras, but a lawsuit was still working its way through the court.
But that battle is largely over now, too.
Bluffton Today is reporting the case has been dismissed.
Now the big question is will the "South Carolina Traffic Camera Enforcement Commission" have the study completed by November 1, as mandated in the law that banned the cameras? And if that fails to happen, will Ridgeland be able to use the breach to say the law is null?
As always, stay tuned for more reports and get back coverage on our topic page.
