Missing Midlands toddler kept warm by dog goes missing again; arrests made

The parents of 22-month-old Tyler Jacobson in Kershaw are now in jail facing charges of unlawful neglect of a child.

Kershaw is a small town in South Carolina's midlands near Rock Hill and boasts a population of only a couple thousand — so it was a doubly big deal when a toddler who strayed from his parents was said to have survived in the woods thanks to the family dog keeping him warm.

That event was Friday, April 1.

The video up top discusses the first news of the miraculous save (The State has a nice written report).

But now the family faces charges after the toddler wandered off on Sunday and a nearby neighbor heard the child and called 911.

The State has another report on the latest incident; read it here.
