Beaufort man wants more police to patrol downtown (w/video)

Does downtown Beaufort have a crime issue? Some think that it does.

WSAV's Holly Bounds interviewed Alton Aimar, who said his car and boat have been broken into and vandalized several times over the past couple of months. See the interview with Aimar and Beaufort Chief of Police Matt Clancy here and below.

That's not all that's being said about late-night crime in downtown Beaufort.

Several business owners, specifically Kathy Bussing, owner of Kathleen's Bar & Grille, have posted Facebook comments regarding after-hours altercations in Waterfront Park and on Bay Street.
