WTOC 11 has a slightly updated report that mostly signals a lack of success yet in finding a suspect and the hope of finding the man on foot being called off; read it here.

The FBI appears to have overtaken the case now.

First reporting: Anyone driving near MCAS Beaufort on U.S. 21 this afternoon probably noticed a lot of police activity. That's because the MCAS Credit Union was robbed at about 1:30 p.m.
