The suspect in the slaying of Blufftonian Alexis Lukaitis who was found on a dirt road in Charleston is being held in Beaufort for at least a couple of weeks while he answers to charges of simple possession of marijuana and failure to register as a sex offender.

After that Darold Drayton will be transferred to Charleston to answer the murder charge.
