It seems as if there has been a higher number of shootings recently around Beaufort than normal.

Authorities announced yesterday that two suspects, Charles Green jr. and Ashley Thomas, have been taken into custody for their alleged role in thursday, April 7's Food Lion shootings on Shanklin road.

According to reports, Sherriff's Deputies were pointed towards Green and Thomas after the victim, Henry Clifton, whose gunshot wounds to the leg and arm are continuing to be treated in Beaufort Memorial Hospital, correctly identified the two as the culprits.

Green was detained shortly after the description was made, and will now face charges of attempted murder, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Thomas, who was believed to have driven the getaway car, was too arrested and will face similar offenses.
