A Beaufort-area Boy Scout has taken to the Internet to help raise awareness about child abuse, and in doing so has received the highest award a scout can receive.

Ostrander has taken his online effort "Combating Child Abuse One Step at a Time" to several websites, including Facebook, Youtube and his own site.
