Talk of buried power lines gain momentum after trimming debacle

There was quite the fuss this past summer when SCE&G came through to do their periodic trimming (or is that butchering?) of trees to protect the power lines from damage.

While the utility reminded that the trees would soon fill in the gaps some insisted it was still excessive and that power lines should be buried to prevent future problems. It was a proposal that was balked at by most who answered to a budget, but now the idea seems to be gaining traction.
