University of South Carolina Beaufort officials met with students and a few elected officials on Thursday to discuss the possibility that USCB will turn into USC Sea Islands. WSAV has the story, and in short, it's not pretty.

"The problem here was lack of information," and "We had no idea, we read it in a newspaper" are just some of the quotes you'll hear from students in the video below.

State Rep. Shannon Erickson, who is petitioning against the name change, also is quoted in the video. Erickson tweeted live from yesterday's meeting with some very interesting quotes from officials. We retweeted some of them, and you can follow us on Twitter @thedigitelbft.
