Property taxes, fees would remain same in City of Beaufort facsimile budget

Under the proposed City of Beaufort budget, not only would residents' property taxes not increase, but much of the city's services remain the same.
Beaufort City Council members voted Tuesday, March 24, to not raise the taxes as part of the $15.8 million. The goal of this fiscal year's budget, according to one council member, was to mirror last year's $15.5 million dollar Council budget, while enacting a number of reforms to the local health care system.
Here's that article from The Island Packet that outlines some of those changes.
