Sanford eats barbecue, talks jets and bids farewell to Beaufort (update: more video)

Updated December 17: WSAV has part two of Gov. Mark Sanford's sitdown with Holly Bounds up on its website.

This time the gov talks barbecue and parenting.

We've pasted the video below.

Reported December 16: You probably couldn't help but see all of the coverage of Gov. Mark Sanford's trip down to Beaufort on Wednesday.

From his talk at the Beaufort Rotary Club to his lunch with WSAV's Holly Bounds over at Sgt. White's, the governor was everywhere.

He talked Churchill, god and F-35s, not necessarily in that order.

While at Rotary, Sanford said his request to have an F-35B test flown over Beaufort likely has fallen on deaf ears and at this point is moot. You can read the Island Packet's coverage of his Rotary talk here.

And when sitting down with Bounds over a plate full of barbecue the governor said he hopes to have finished strong and doesn't think people will remember him for his best or worst days in office. You can see video of the Bounds interview below.

What's next for Sanford? Well it's off to his family's 1,500 acres up in Dale. Who knows, maybe he'll run for Beaufort County Council.
