Update Sept. 1: Rep. Wilson posted a video blog on Wednesday letting everyone know that he's up and at 'em.

You can view the blog here or watch it above.

Update August 28: Wilson has been released from the hospital and while there's still no confirmation on what the viral infection was, signs continue to point to Lyme disease.

The U.S. Congressman was released on Saturday. CNN has a nice post up with the most complete summation I've seen (read it here.)

Meanwhile, Wilson's annual Second Congressional District Tour has been rescheduled for September 26th-30th. The town hall scheduled for August 22 in Chapin will be rescheduled until the week of September 26th-30th as well.

First reporting August 25: U.S. Rep. Joe Wilson, who represents Beaufort, has been hospitalized with an extended fever and has cancelled his district tour.

CNN.com has a brief writeup on Wilson here.

A blog from up on the Hill says Wilson is experiencing symptoms similar to Lyme disease and is on medication.

We haven't seen anything official out of the Wilson camp other than a Monday Facebook post on the cancellation of this tour.

Some people are tweeting well-wished to the congressman.
