Lost in the controversial news that Jim Tressel, the head coach of Ohio State's football team, had resigned after he was found to have intentionally covered-up certain actions of his players, the University of South Carolina athletics department that they had reinstated their starting quarterback, Stephen Garcia.
Garcia, whose off the field problems have been much documented in his previous four years at the University, was suspended by head coach Steve Spurrier and athletics director Eric Hyman in April for reportedly bringing alcohol into his hotel room before USC's Chick-fil-A Bowl appearance--a game they lost to Florida State.
There's quite a lot of coverage on this story floating around out there; here's a good piece from USC's student newspaper, or you can follow this link to read CBS's article, or this one to read USC's official statement to the media.
