S.C. to see spike in Labor Day weekend travel

A dip in gas prices is expected to contribute to an almost 8 percent increase in Labor Day travel, according to AAA Carolinas' Labor Day weekend traffic projection.

AAA Vacations lists Atlanta, Myrtle Beach, Charleston, Asheville, Raleigh, Savannah and Washington D.C., as the most popular motorist destinations this weekend.

The list is similar to one previously released by Priceline.com.
