The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery at a Burton business Friday, March 1, just before 5 p.m.

Here are details from a release:

Upon arrival, deputies met with two employees who advised that the business had just been robbed by an unknown black male.

The employees reported that the subject entered the office, brandished a handgun, and demanded money. After taking an undisclosed amount of cash, the subject fled the store, leaving the employees unharmed. He was last seen running down Falls Rd toward Bonaire Cir.

The suspect was described as a black male, approximately 5'09", 220 lbs wearing a long-sleeve white shirt with a blue emblem on the back, blue jeans, and a black skeleton mask.

The Sheriff's Office is asking anyone with information to contact either Investigator Cpl. B. Disbrow at 843-255-3407 or Crimestoppers.
