Coast Guard calls off for swimmer gone missing at Hunting Island (updated: body found)

Update September 6: WSAV and the Island Packet are reporting that Joseph Scott's body has been found and that the Beaufort County coroner is ruling it an accidental drowning. Read WSAV's report here, and go to The Island Packet here.

First reporting September 5:
On Saturday, September 4, around 4 p.m. 31-year-old Joseph Scott went missing while swimming with four other people at Hunting Island Beach.
After searching with a HH-65 Dolphin rescue helicopter and a 25-foot rescue boat from Savannah the Coast Guard has called off the search pending any more developments.
It's important to keep in mind the dangers of rip currents and to check the local advisories, and remember to never fight a rip current but swim out of it.
