Golf cart concerns revisited after bizarre fatal accident on Fripp Island

Last month a vacationer on Fripp Island sustained a fatal head injury after the driver of the golf cart she was in made a sharp left turn.
50-year-old Ellen Lambeth's head then was struck by concrete, leading to a case of head trauma.
However, The Island Packet's Patrick Donohue writes that the accident likely won't lead to a reevaluation of the private island's policy on golf carts, in part:
"The rules we have are already so stringent," said Kate Hines, the association's general manager. "This doesn't seem to have been anything that a change to our rules could have prevented. The driver wasn't monkeying around or driving recklessly. It's just one of those things."
