Updated August 9: The S.C. Budget and Control Board today unanimously approved the sale of the Port of Port Royal to Port Royal Redevelopment Group. More to come, stay tunned. 

Reported July 31: With something as volatile as the sale of the Port of Port Royal, every little step is a big deal. 

And what could be the next and last step is approval from the S.C. Budget and Control Board of a new deal to sell the port.

The Budget and Control Board is expected to vote on the deal at its next meeting, which is scheduled for Aug. 9. 

An agenda has not yet been released.
