A tale of two malls: Savannah flourishes while Hilton Head falters

There's curious timing in a pair of reports.
Out of Savannah, WSAV has a video report about how three years after the bottom fell out of the retail market, Oglethorpe Mall is boasting of good times; however, on the same day, The Island Packet has published a report that the already-too-sparse-feeling mall at Shelter Cove on Hilton Head is losing three more stores.
Who's up this time? The paper says Williams-Sonoma, Coldwater Creek, and the Shoe Dept.
It is, of course, the latest turn in the financially beleaguered mall that had seen a bit of a boost while the Tanger Outlets One store was rebuilt in Bluffton.
