Views from the man at the helm of South Carolina's job and inudstry ship

Let's face it, a Q and A with South Carolina Secretary of Commerce Bobby Hitt sounds about as exciting as eating a loaf of stale french bread — but sometimes it turns out that beneath that crusty title lies some surprisingly tasty morsels.

I'd argue that's the case here.

From any hope to save the recent Amazon kerfuffle, to the role of manufacturing in South Carolina, to the North Charleston rail debate, Hitt's comments provide context into the mindset that's at play with South Carolina in these issues — and shows where we're not as interested, by exclusion.

Take a read of his thoughts over at The Post and Courier.
