On Wednesday, the S.C. House approved three bills that would, if approved by a more stiff Senate, strengthen the governor's office.

If you haven't been following, know that the governor seat in South Carolina is one of the least powerful executive branches.

Approved were: allowing the governor to appoint the State Superintendent of Education (H. 3070), allowing the Governor and Lt. Governor to run together on the same ticket (H. 3152), and restructuring the executive branch functions of the budget and board into a Department of Administration to be controlled by the governor (H. 3066).
