Why and how The Island Packet came up with their endorsements

You may recall that I've not been very impressed with the meat of The Island Packet's endorsements.

Well, paper editor Jeff Kidd has penned a column about how the paper went about deciding on who to endorse this election season, pointing out that they haven't made off-the-cuff choices. It's an interesting read to see how their newspaper went about making their choices and the effort that's involved.

Take a read here.

And for those of you what are surprised to see the paper start making endorsements this year (it's their first time to do so), Kidd linked to an old column by Publisher Sara Borton on the change.
