Beaufort shrimping season could be off to a good start

It's anecdotal evidence for sure, but WTOC 11 caught up with Larry Toomer of the Bluffton Oyster Company on one of the first runs into the limited start to the shrimping season, and things came up rosey: nearly 1,000 pounds of shrimp.

Right now commericial shrimpers are limited to the "Provisional Trawling Areas" but expect the full season to open in a few more weeks.
